NEW STORY / SCRIPTING

Stories can stay brief. Daily journaling is not required.

GOAL SETTINGS

Only the name is required. Targets and deadlines may stay empty.

SAVE TO GOAL

Choose an existing goal, or create a new one. Your unsaved count stays intact.

Ready. Tap in Quick Count mode, or select a goal before you save.

Count one repetition at a time.

The Lunar Counter separates the work you are doing now from the history attached to a goal. Every tap increases only the current session. Nothing is added to a goal total until you choose Save, which means an accidental reset or an unfinished practice does not quietly change the record.

You can begin in Quick Count with no setup. If a goal would make the practice easier to return to, create one with an optional affirmation, repetition target, and deadline. Those fields organize your own sessions; they do not score the quality of the sentence or turn repetition into a guarantee.

Choose language that remains believable.

A useful affirmation can name a value, boundary, capacity, or behavior you want to remember. If an absolute statement causes immediate resistance, use bridge language such as “I am learning to ask clearly,” “I can practice a steadier response,” or “I am willing to notice support.” The counter records repetition, not conviction.

After a session, connect the sentence to one observable action. That might be sending a clear message, reviewing a budget, taking a break before answering, or returning to a planned task. Repetition is most grounded when it helps a chosen value survive an ordinary moment.

Review totals without turning them into pressure.

Saved daily and lifetime totals help you see continuity across sessions. They are not streak requirements and they are not evidence that a desired event must occur. Use a target when it makes the practice easier to schedule; remove it when the number begins to matter more than the meaning of the sentence.

Reset clears only the current unsaved session. Switching goals keeps each goal's stored history separate. The visible status message confirms whether a session was saved, whether sign-in is needed for cloud storage, and whether the current count remains local to the page.

Questions

Use the practice with clarity.

Do I need a goal to use the affirmation counter?

No. Quick Count starts immediately without a goal. Select or create a goal only when you want the session included in saved daily and lifetime totals.

What is the difference between session count and goal total?

The session count is the number of taps since the current reset. A goal total is the sum of sessions that you deliberately saved to that goal.

Can I set a target or deadline?

Yes. Both are optional goal settings. A target provides a progress reference; a deadline is a planning note and does not lock the counter or make a promise about an outcome.

Can I use the counter with a keyboard or phone?

Yes. Tap or click anywhere on the round counter. When it has keyboard focus, Space and Enter add one repetition.

Does repeating an affirmation guarantee a result?

No. Repetition can support attention and recall, but external outcomes also depend on action, circumstances, other people, and information outside the practice.
